The Ancients Photo Directory - helping you choose the best figures for your Ancients armies. Over 4,000 photos of 15mm ancients figures including painting by fantastic professional painters and photos from manufacturers websites. The directory is organised in the same way as the original set of FoG Army List Books (sorry, I can't now change it!), with listings for almost every army. You can also search the directory by manufacturer, army or keyword

Anyone can rate the figures just by clicking on the stars beneath each photo. Ratings use a scale of 0-5 where 5 = excellent and 0 = terrible.

Xyston Gaesati Musicians and Standard bearers297 viewsThese new Gaesati follow Xystons recent tradition of being excellent figures but a touch on the large size. They measure 15mm from foot to nose, excluding the base. The limed upright hair increases their apparent height, and as some pictures show are noticaly larger than Essex Celts. But, as usual, great figures nonetheless - an elite unit of these in a Ancient British army would be able to justify being such tall chaps!
